LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learns the concept of socialist realist literature. 2) Recognizes socialist realist writers and analyzes their works. 3) Learns the historical development of modernism. 4) Analyze modernist works.

COURSE DEFINITION	In this course, the concept of socialist realism and modernization will be discussed from a historical perspective, and the reflections of these concepts on Turkish literature will be discussed through literary texts. The prominent writers and poets of Turkish literature between 1950 and 1980 will be introduced and their works will be analyzed with theoretical approaches, and the understanding of the socialist realist approach and modernism specific to Turkish literature will be highlighted.
