LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Gain knowledge about the features of the 17th century Ottoman field classical Turkish literature. 2) Recognizes the literary personalities of the prominent poets of the period. 3) List the characteristics of Sebk-i Hindi style. 4) Shows how stylistic differences occur in works.

COURSE DEFINITION	This course introduces the literary history of the 17th century and examines the major poetic figures as well as the representative texts from this period.
