At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn the development of Turkish poetry. 2) Examine the poem formally. 3) Examine the poem in terms of content. 4) Analyze a poem chosen from Turkish literature conceptually. 5) Distinguish the developmental stage of Turkish poetry.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course involves the analysis of the concept of the poetry, the elements of poetry and the development of Turkish poetry. Selected poems from modern Turkish literature will be studied, with special emphasis on the basic concepts related to analysis of poems.
