LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Distinguish the writers and poets of the Tanzimat II. period. 2) Analyze the works of the period Tanzimat II. with their socio-cultural and literary values. 3) Examine the different genres written in the Tanzimat II. period. 4) Discuss the works of the Tanzimat II. period conceptually.

COURSE DEFINITION	The literary personalities and works of Ahmet Mithat Efendi, Abdülhak Hamit Tarhan, Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem and Muallim Naci from the second generation of the Tanzimat period will be examined within the framework of modernization
