LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Define the knowledge about the genre and form features of Anonymous Folk literature.
2) Compare anonymous types of poetry such as mani, folk songs, laments, lullaby.
3) Analyze pre-Islamic and post-Islamic period of Turkish culture.
4) Interpret Stories of Dede Korkut in terms of style and content

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course deals with the place of Turkish Folk Literature in the history of Turkish Literature, the origins of Folk Literature, the general outlook of Folk Literature before Islam, epic poems, type and form in Folk Literature.
