At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explain the basic concepts of syntax. 2) Explain the features of Turkish syntax. 3) Analyze the structure of the sentence. 4) Explain the structure and functions of phrases. 5) Classify sentence types in Turkish.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course deal with the syntax of Turkish, especially syntactical features of Turkish, word phrases, analysis of sentences, types of Turkish sentences, position of the verb, predicate, structure of sentence, main elements of sentences, main clauses, types of Turkish depended clauses etc.
