At the end of this course, the students; 1) Read selected printed and manuscript texts from different centuries. 2) Explain the word classes and structure of the words in Persian. 3) Compare the word classes and structure of the words in Arabic and Persian.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course will teach izafet, derived nouns and adjectives, compound words and postpositions that were transferred to Ottoman Turkish from Persian. In this context, the course will enhance students' comprehension of Ottoman texts from all periods and genres.
