1) Discuss the concept of literature.
2) Distinguish literary genres, movements and
communities.

genres.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course, the history of Modern Turkish Literature will be examined in general, literary changes, trends, schools, new genres and forms from the 19th century to the present will be emphasized; Introductory information about literary groups will be given, important literary movements in Western literature and their effects on Turkish literature will be explained.
