LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Discuss the concept of literature. 2) Distinguish literary genres, movements and communities. 3) Use general information about the analysis of literary genres. 4) Gain awareness about the analysis of poetry and story genres.

COURSE DEFINITION	In this course, the history of Modern Turkish Literature will be examined in general, literary changes, trends, schools, new genres and forms from the 19th century to the present will be emphasized; Introductory information about literary groups will be given, important literary movements in Western literature and their effects on Turkish literature will be explained.
