At the end of this course, the students; 1) identify the ideas and themes that underlie the selected works of English literature, 2) discuss the texts from different genres in the light of relevant literary movements, 3) analyze how social, cultural, and political issues are reflected in the texts.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course aims to analyze and discuss some of the most canonical works of poetry, novel and drama in English Literature. The reading of the texts will be informed by relevant social, historical, and political contexts.
