COURSE DEFINITION
Following up on History of Western Civilizations I course, this course offers a survey of the history of western civilization from the Age of Reason to the turn of the 21st century. The focus of the course will be on the Age of Enlightenment, the American and French Revolutions, the Industrial Revolution, World Wars I and II with an emphasis on their influence on the formation of the modern world. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze significant political, socioeconomic, and cultural developments in modern western civilization.
