At the end of this course, the students; 1) write notes, messages, invitations, diplomatic documents, disclaimers, and diplomatic letters in a qualified manner in accordance with diplomatic correspondence rules and correspondence formats. 2) utilizes the language and expression style used in diplomacy, and frequently used special words and phrases appropriately and effectively. 3) apply and employ the protocol rules necessary for diplomatic invitations and visits.

COURSE DEFINITION
Basic information and concepts related to the main subject of the course in International Relations and Conducting Activities, Foreign Policy and Diplomacy will be covered as an introduction to the course, and information about diplomacy will be given. In the light of the basic information explained, language and expression style used in diplomacy, diplomatic correspondence, special words and phrases that are widely used, common mistakes and misuse in correspondence, sample texts on diplomatic correspondence and speech (notes, memorandums, messages, diplomatic invitations, some important diplomatic documents Definitions of diplomatic documents, structure (form) used in diplomatic correspondence, distinctive features and special expressions will be taught, protocol rules required by these correspondences will be explained.
