COURSE DEFINITION | This course will guide you to develop your understanding of classical and modern political ideologies. The aim of this course is to help students to grasp the basic debates on the conceptualization of political ideology and its difference from some related concepts such as political thought and political theory. It also aims to introduce the basic variants of political ideologies -both classical and modern ones- and introduce the contemporary debates on the future of political ideologies. At the end of the course students will also acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to better evaluate the contemporary political debates from a critical perspective.
