At the end of this course, the students; 1) develop a general overview on the theories of social structure. 2) analyze the Ottoman social structure through social theories. 3) question the transition from the Ottoman social structure to social structure of Turkey. 4) develop comparative understanding of different social structures.

COURSE DEFINITION
The content of the course is based on the knowledge gained by the courses of Introduction to Sociology and Political Sociology. The aim is to understand the social structure of Turkey from a critical and comparative standpoint.
