LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) develop sub-skills of reading, listening, speaking and writing.
2) learn the meaning and use of language associated with discipline-related text types, using appropriate strategies to work out meaning.
3) write academic and scientific texts by following the academic text writing rules.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course is an exploration of the relationship between pop culture and international relations. All coursework is in English, including reading and writing assignments, classroom discussions, and midterm and final exams. The course's workshop format encourages students to move beyond their safety zone and use English to critically examine the relationship between pop-ular culture and politics in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust.
