LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Be able to explain the relationship between a manager's need for information and his/her position in the organization. 2) Be able to explain how information technology can be used by a business enterprise to gain competitive advantage. 3) Have an understanding about the evolution of computer-based information systems. 4) Have knowledge about various types of information systems that are needed to support various levels of a business enterprise. 5) Have an undestanding about the process of analyzing, designing and developing an information system. 6) Develop problem solving and managerial decision making skills using information systems and information technology. 7) Have an understanding about the management control systems and tools and techniques used.
