COURSE DEFINITION
This course focuses on the advanced clinical practice knowledge and skills that afford students an opportunity for an in-depth study of the individual as the basic unit 0f intervention aimed at promoting well-being. This course also introduces students to content on theories of assessment, intervention and termination. Specific attention is given to the development of skills in communication, rapport building, interview techniques, and the utilization of professional self in working with individuals and family members.
