- To know normal and abnormal development of the craniofacial complex and dentition, and etiologic factors responsible from orthodontic anomalies
- To conduct necessary analyses to diagnose the orthodontic anomaly and develop treatment alternatives
- To plan and execute preventive and interceptive orthodontic treatments, as well as functional and orthopedic treatments on growing individuals
- To have a good grasp of fixed orthodontic treatment mechanics and materials, to plan and execute fixed orthodontic treatment to children, adults and patients with periodontal problems and/or preprosthodontic needs
- To know the biomechanical principles of clear aligner treatment and lingual orthodontics, and to plan and execute these treatments
- To plan and execute surgical orthodontic treatment in patients with cleft lip-and-palate and severe skeletal disorders
- To diagnose and treat temporomandibular joint disorders
- To cope with complications during or after orthodontic treatment, to treat enamel lesions, and to decide on the retention protocol
- To be able to follow the literature for developments in the field, to design a scientific research, and to write an article and make a presentation
