1) Gain problem solving ability.
2) Know and use concepts about recombinant DNA technology and genetic engineering.
3) Gain knowledge about application areas of biotechnology and bioethics.
4) Gain ability to make a connection between biotechnology and biomedical engineering and use this knowlegdge in biomedical engineering field.
5) Reinforce theoretical knowledge and application.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course, cell engineering, tissue engineering, protein engineering, smart polymers, nanotechnology, artificial kidney, artificial heart, gen therapy, support systems for liver, bioaffinity chromatography, extracorporeal therapy, biochips, molecular imaging techniques, artificial skin and blood topics are handled.
