At the end of this course, the students; 1) Understand the importance of building offensive system. 2) Learn how to develop Fast-break organization and fast break drills. 3) Building basic team man to man and zone offensive principles and basic offensive sets against man to man and zone defenses.. 4) Understand of various basic defensive philosophies and drills to improve man to man and zone defenses. 5) Combine (junk defense) defenses in basketball (two and triangle, one and box etc.)

COURSE DEFINITION
After complating this course, the student will (be able to) demonsrate and understanding the importance of basic basketball coaching philosophies and principles.
COURSE CONTENTS

1st Week
Disquisitions of basic coaching philosophies. Buildin basic team offensive and deffensive system.
2nd Week
Fast break organisation, basic fast break principles utility of fast break, conditions for fast break and fast break drills.
3rd Week
Principles of man to man offense, drills to improve man to man skills and man to man offensive sets.
4th Week
Principles of zone offense, drills to improve zone offense and zone offensive sets.
5th Week
Building team defense. Variety of defenses, priciples of man to man defense and drills to improve man to man defense.
6th Week
Principles of zone defense, basic zone defeses and drills to improve zone defense.
7th Week
Combinating defenses in basketball. Principles of pressure deffenses and variety of pressure defenses.
8th Week
Special stituations in basketball. Base line and side line offenses and last seconds offensive tactics.
9th Week
Special practices of basketball players, special practices to improve offensive and defensive skills of centre, guard and forward players.
10th Week
Statistics in basketball. Keeping scouting.
11th Week
Practice planning in basketball. Long, middle and short term basketball planning. Monthly, weekly and daily practice planning.
12th Week
Genaral review and sample practice application.
