International Joint Master's Program with Thesis in Hospitality Management (English)
This program is carried out as a result of the collaboration between the Department of Tourism Management at the Faculty of Commercial Sciences of Başkent University and Ecole FERRANDI Paris, one of France's long-established school. This joint program, which is the first of its field in Turkey, has been recognized internationlly. Its objective is to cultivate visionary professionals who will gain significant role in the tourism industry.
Başkent University Tourism Management program has been providing tourism education and training for twenty years both on campus, and in its affiliated accommodation establishments (Patalya Thermal Hotel in Kızılcahamam and Patalya Lakeside Resort Hotel in Gölbaşı), as well as the other domestic and international 5-star hotels and similar accommodation establishments. Ecole FERRANDI Paris, located in the heart of France's capital, founded over a hundred years ago as an institution of higher education (EESC) affiliated to CCI Paris Ile-de-France Education. FERRANDI Paris is a member hospitality and culinary school of the Conference des Grandes Ecoles (CGE). It trains the elite in gastronomy and hospitality in France and globally. It provides internationally recognized education in the fields of gastronomy and hospitality and focuses on training innovative and creative professionals to meet the demands of the global tourism industry.
This program was established based on the shared vision of both institutions: to contribute to the development of a qualified workforce for the growing global tourism industry, to promote sustainable tourism practices, to enhance intercultural interaction, and to strengthen postgraduate academic studies as a continuation of undergraduate education in tourism management.
