Facilities for Special Needs Students
At Başkent University, "An Information and Coordination Unit for the Disabled Students" is established in order to take steps to ease their lives and make them go on their academic work, just as the similar conditions with others.
The commission has members, from the related areas and the academicians who have knowledge in disability.
It is worked out; to arrange an education program not to complicate their academic, physical, psychological and social lives; on the contrary, to organize an appropriate, physical environment, equipment, special learning materials, education, research and hosting facilities, for the disabled.
The campus area, the buildings (entrances, toilets, elevators etc.), the parking areas are all accessable.
