COURSE DEFINITIONClassification of untraditional manufacturing processes according to energy types. Principals, motives, manufacturing parameters, manufacturing and application capabilities of these processes. Ultrasonic machining, machining with jet-cutting, water jets, electrochemical machining, electrochemical grinding and honing. Chemical machining, electro-discharge machining, Electro-discharge with wire, laser cutting, machining with plasma.

1st Week Introduction: a brief review of the unconventional manufacturing methods and comparison with conventional manufacturing methods
2nd Week Non-traditional processing methods, depending on the classification of the energy used in the machining process principles and the methods, materials, processing parameters, processing capabilities and applications to be reviewed
3rd Week Mechanical Energy: Ultrasonic Processing
4th Week Abrasive Jet Machining
5th Week Working with Water Jet
6th Week Electrochemical Energy: Electrochemical Processing
7th Week Electrochemical Grinding, Honing Electrochemical
8th Week Chemical Energy: Chemical Processing
9th Week Thermal Energy: Electro-discharge machining, wire electric discharge machining
10th Week Electro-discharge machining
11th Week Electro-discharge machining, wire Erosion
