At the end of this course, the students; 1) will have an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints. 2) will have an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice. 3) will have an ability to solve linear decisions models.

COURSE DEFINITION | Origins of Operations Research. Systems approach, interdisciplinary research and the scientific method. Fundamentals and the theory of linear programming. The Simplex algorithm, big-M and two-phase Simplex method. Duality and sensitivity analysis. Transportation and assignment problems; shortest path, minimum spanning tree and minimum cost flow models. Integer programming. Dynamic programming. |
