LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Recognizes the participation of women and girls in sports in the historical process. 2) Learns how sport is a gendered field and in this sense, it reflects the dominant social culture, norms and values. 3) Can understand how sport reproduces social inequalities in the context of gender. 4) Can think about the policies that should be developed to ensure gender equality in sports.

COURSE DEFINITION	This course includes the examination of historically and socially established gender relations, the analysis of gender-based relations in the sports environment in its relationship with the issues such as body, media, masculinity, sexual harrasment and abuse and etc.
