1) Develop an understanding of the theoretical debates and issues in international political economy literature and gain skills to use them independently.
2) Gain comprehensive knowledge about the actors, structures and processes of economic policy making at national and international levels..
3) Gain knowledge of the fact that international political and economic domains are inextricably intertwined.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe objective of the course is to study the historical development of the relations between economy and politics from different theoretical perspectives. Different political economy configurations like capitalism, socialism, welfare state and neoliberalism will be taken as major constituents of the international system.
