COURSE DEFINITION
This course aims to study the political, geographical and economic foundations on which the Turkish foreign policy is based on, the mechanisms of decision-making in foreign policy and the acts of foreign policy since the foundation of the Republic. Turkey's policies regarding international and regional developments and the impacts of the factors of continuity and change over these policies are among the topics that will be covered. The course also aims to point to the general tendencies of Turkey in foreign relations. At the end of this course, students are expected to know the general framework of Turkey's international relations history, to have the adequate knowledge about different comments on the various foreign policy issues that Turkey encounters and present their own interpretations.
