At the end of this course, the students; 1) Gain comprehensive knowledge about the historical development, determining motivations and limits of the common policies of the EU. 2) Gain knowledge about the processes, actors and structures of the common policy making. 3) Make a conceptual analysis of the current and prospective common policy areas. 4) Evaluate the impact of common policies on regional development

COURSE DEFINITION
Starting from the original Coal-Steel Community, the development and characteristics of the EU's common policies (with the exception of attempts to forge a common foreign policy) will be studied in this course. The EU's common policies on agriculture, regional development, social welfare, environment, industry and trade, labor and finance are among the topics discussed in this course.
