At the end of this course, the students; 1) Understand usefulness and limitation of selected Management Science techniques tofind solutions to analytical models. 2) Use selected software to generate computer solutions of the models. 3) Learn, through case studies, the applications of Management Science to findsolutions to real life business problems including those in global environment. 4) Learn not to confuse algorithm with software, and software with technique. 5) Use the knowledge gained from this course to continue life-long learning in decisiontechnologies to aid business decision making and planning.

COURSE DEFINITION
Network models such as PERT/CPM technique; the shortest route, minimal spanning tree, and maximal flow problems are introduced. The nature and the solution methodology of dynamic programming problems are examined. Waiting line models such as single, multiple channel queuing systems, and simulation modeling are the other topics to be covered.
