1) Students learn particulate matter properties and distribution functions.
2) Students learn designing particulate control devices.
3) Students learn designing control devices for gaseous pollutants.
4) Students learn designing contbined control systems.
5) Students learn applying combustion control strategies for reducing emissions.

COURSE DEFINITIONPollution and pollutants in the air. Determination of particulate substances and their properties. Settlement chambers of paticulars and cyclones. Filter designs with particulate matter devices. Dry and wet purifier design. Use of absorption systems in filters. Particle modeling and filter design using computer software.
