LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) The appearance of the first museum in Turkey coincides with several other innovations during the last phase of the Ottoman era. 2) The cultural and intellectual context of this new institution and the organization and function of the first museums in Turkey are examined. 3) To know the importance role of the Osman Hamdi Bey and Halil Ethem Bey in Turkish museology 4) Developments in museums after the foundation of Turkish of Republic will be examined. 5) Contemporary approaches to administration, exhibition and education in museums will be introduced. Necessities and ideas that cause these changes will be discussed.
