COURSE DEFINITIONThis course focuses on the new concepts of exhibition and management of contemporary exhibition either in a museum or in a virtual space. The application includes multipresentation of the exhibition and application of new concepts of museology. Therefore visits to different exhibitions in the museums and cooperations are planned and special lectures from museum curators will take place in the museums.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Introduction to exhibition space and function
2nd Week Defining the space and alteration motives for new exhibition
3rd Week Design and management of exhibition space (display and arrangement of display units)
4th Week Tools for exhibition (construction statics, material)
5th Week Preparation of inventory information of the exhibited material
6th Week Preparing exhibition alternatives
7th Week 3D construction of the exhibition
8th Week Formation of the exhibition project
9th Week mid-term Presentation of the exhibition project to the committee and noting discussions
10th Week Public presentation of the exhibition project, forming a survey
11th Week Forming final project upon public critics noted in the survey
12th Week Project
13th Week Project and application
14th Week Project presentation and opening of the exhibition
15th Week Project presentation and evaluation of the survey
