At the end of this course, the students; 1) Identify the clinical evaluation and diagnosis processes of psychopathologies experienced in childhood. 2) Distinguish the features of various intelligence tests, personality tests and neuropsychological tests that can be applied in childhood. 3) Monitor the application process of various intelligence tests, personality tests, and neuropsychological tests that can be administered during childhood. 4) Be informed about how assessment tools are used in the planning, following and evaluation of a treatment in childhood. 5) Explain the points to be considered in report writing.

COURSE DEFINITION | This course is aimed to teach clinical appearance, assessment and diagnosis process of the childhood psychopathologies to the psychology students. Within the scope of this course, psychology students learn basic features and observe application practices of intelligence tests, neuropsychological tests and projective tests, which are developed to assess childhood psychopathologies, and the students gain ability to report the results of the applications. Moreover, with the help of the in-class exercises, psychology students become familiar with the application process of these assessment tools. |
