At the end of this course, the students; 1) Analyze risk and protective factors in development. 2) Compares the results of the normal process of development in infancy, childhood and adolescence with the norms. 3) Evaluates the effects of childhood and adolescence disorders on adult life. 4) Distinguish the effective factors in developmental psychopathology. 5) Define genetic and environmental factors in terms of developmental psychopathology.

COURSE DEFINITION
The purpose of this course is to review the development of psychological disorders with a life course perspective. Students who take this course are expected to acquire knowledge on developmental factors that affect emerging of psychopathologies. The topics that will be covered through the course as follows: Developmental psychopathology approach in analysis of behavior, genetic and environmental influences on behavior, risk factors for psychopathology, emotional regulation, impulsivity, brain injury, development of antisocial personality, Conduct and Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders.
