LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Will explain main process in language acquisition. 2) Will analyze the relationships between language and other cognitive processes 3) Will express current issues in linguistics such as bilingualism and later language acquisition. 4) Will identify language disorders and their characteristics. 5) Will acknowledge the neurobiological basis of language.

COURSE DEFINITION | Psycholinguistics focuses on the psychological processes of language use from an information-processing perspective and employs experimental research paradigms. This course presents a summary of major topics in the field such as spoken and visual word perception, sentence comprehension, the mental lexicon, language production, and language development. |
