LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will make distinction between existential philosophy and existential psychology.
2) Will learn how to test existential problems in psychological studies.
3) Will question existential anxieties in their lives.
4) Will develop methodology to experimentally test existential parameters.
5) Will evaluate psychological concepts through existential philosophy.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course contains topics in existentialism and existential psychology. The topics include existential philosophy, existential anxieties, death and dying, freedom, isolation, search for meaning, and experimental existential psychology. The course is interested in the ideas of both existential philosophers such as Camus and Sartre and the founders of existential psychology such as Frankl and May.
