At the end of this course, the students; 1) Explain application of technology in psychological research and practice 2) Demonstrate technology-based skills in a research project or practice problem 3) Critically assess technology-based research in psychology 4) Describe the ethical application of technology in psychology 5) Develop solutions to problems caused by newly used technologies.

COURSE DEFINITION | In the current course, studies of human-computer interactions; technology usage in childhood and adolescence; online safety and security; psychological research into the effects of social media and internet use on psychological wellbeing and relationships; ethical issues in cyber-environments; and the role of new technologies as a tool for research a practice will be discussed. Students will learn how to use these new innovative methods to gather data and to provide therapeutic intervensions. |
