LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Choose the experimental method suitable for the research questions.
2) Compare types of experimental designs.
3) Identify and discuss confounding variables in the experimental design.
4) Decide on the statistical analysis to be used in experimental design types.
5) Criticize experimental designs within the framework of ethical rules.
6) Write experimental research reports.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe purpose of this course is to teach students about experimental methods used in behavioral sciences. The effective design of an experiment, various experimental designs, properties of the subjects and the experimenter, sampling, analyses of experimental data are the topics of the course. In this course, students learn and apply their knowledge to design an experiment, and writing the scientific the report of the experiment.
