At the end of this course, the students; 1) Will be able to define private pension funds, explain their history and operation. 2) Express the benefits of private pension funds to individuals 3) Discuss why people should have private pension funds. 4) Will be able to explain the place and importance of private pension funds in the Turkey's economy.

COURSE DEFINITION | In this course, the definition and basic features of the social security system and private pension funds will be given. The historical development of the social security system, its current status, and complementary institutions in social security will be mentioned. Additionally, the purpose, functioning, conceptual framework, and macroeconomic effects of private pension funds as well as their management will be explained. |
