LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Recalls, understands and applies concepts of insurance law in insurance sector practice 2) Examines processes relating to insurance law and draw a conclusion 3) Understand the liabilities of the sides of insurance contract and draw a conclusion 4) Interprets issues resulting from insurance contract and resolves 5) Understand basic principles of insurance law

COURSE DEFINITION	Analysis of rights and obligations for the parties, resulting from Insurance Contract in the area of Private Insurance Law , in terms of laws and regulations, decrees of Supreme Court of Appeals and sector- specific.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week Definition and execution of an insurance contract and the begining of the insurance protection 2nd Week Parties and the persons concerned to the insurance contract, policyowner, assured, beneficiary 3rd Week Concept of interest and risk in the insurance conract 4th Week Compensation maxim, excess insurance , under insurance 5th Week Partial insurance, coinsurance, double insurance 6th Week Insurer's obligation of drafting and delivering insurance policy 7th Week Notice obligation during the draft of the insurance contract 8th Week Midterm 9th Week Aggravation of risk and notice obligation 10th Week Policyowner's obligation of paying premium payment and default in delivery 11th Week Notification of loss and its inspection 12th Week Policyowner's obligation of taking protective actions 13th Week Insurer's obligation of paying compensation 14th Week Legal subrogation of the insurer
