COURSE DEFINITION
Fundamental principles in oral and maxillofacial surgery and pathology are described. The etiology, clinical and radiologial features, differential diagnosis, biopsy and treatmeent approaches of bening and malign lesions are described. Patient evaluation, treatment planning and modalities are also involved in the contents. The anatomy of maxillofacial region is taken into consideration with clinical cases. Trauma, orthgonathic surgery, distraction osteogenesis, cleft lip-pale are described clearly.

Make student to have the ability and knowledge of evaluating patient by exact history, physical and radiological examination.
2nd Week
Differantial diagnosis.
3rd Week
To learn and have the ability of surgical approaches for pathologies and biopsy techniques.
4th Week
Knowledge of indications and contraindications, complications and their management;
5th Week
Knowledge and ability to perform surgical procedures was also acquired to the student.
6th Week
Observation of clinical practice.
