At the end of this course, the students; 1) Students who have successfully completed this course will be able to learn the history, scope and definition of endodontics, examination and diagnostic methods in endodontics, root canal morphology, physical properties of instruments using in the root canal preparation, root canal access cavities, calculation of root canal working length, cleaning and shaping techniques of root canals, the biomechanical properties and clinical applications of root canal obturation materials, root canal obturation techniques, isolation of teeth and using rubber-dam, root canal irrigation, root canal medication, local anesthetics in endodontics, indication and contrendication for root canal treatment, vital endodontic therapy, microbiology in endodontics, pain, using drug and prophylaxis in endodontics, factors affecting the success of root canal treatment, the role of smear layer on apical and coronal leakage.
