LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) 1) Have the basic knowledge of methods and techniques related to cinema.
2) Have the ability of transferring his/her knowledge about cinema to a film product, can draft a creative product.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course students produce a film to comprehend the language of cinema and methods of basic use of that language. Pre production processes like pre-research, preparing the film script and pitching the project will be experienced.

3rd Week Specifying the film crews and division of labour / Idea development

7th Week Midterm: Submitting the Draft Film Projects (thema, logline, synopsis, treatman, script?)
8th Week Discussing the draft film projects
9th Week Discussions on Scripts (and/or Idea / Acting)
10th Week Discussions on Art Directing
11th Week Discussions on Sound / Music
12th Week Discussions on Editing
13th Week Discussions on Visual Effects / Animation
14th Week Pitching: Presentations of the projects: The presentation of each project is pitched to a jury of 5 people, consisting of experienced professors and professionals in their fields, with a 7-minute presentation and an 8-minute question and answer session.
