LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Learns to interpret the film in its historical-cultural context
2) Comprehends a film (or an era) by considering its precessors and sequents (the factors those cause a film showing up and the effect of the film on the history of cinema)
3) Gets abilities to relate the cinema with the wold history, the movements of thought and the personal life

COURSE DEFINITIONAs an ongoing course of ?World Cinema I?, the course focuses on the differences of technical and aesthetical sides of European cinema and Hollywood, and analyses what does ?the world cinema? means by focusing on the concept of Third World Country and whether the Hollywood is a country cinema or a world cinema industry. The most basic focus of the course is to determine the borders of industrial Hollywood cinema and to do a research on cinema other than Hollywood.
