COURSE DEFINITION
Focusing on the fundamental role and meaning of contemporary imagery and visual forms, the course teaches the basic knowledge of visualization, perception and visual culture and analyzes the visualization techniques in the use of multimedia.

Alphabets: Phoenician, Greek, Latin, Korean writings. The effects of printing Technologies on visual design.
5th Week
Principles of design and visual design

Visual percepton: Gestalt, the difference between looking and seeing.

Visual culture and semiology: Sign, symbol, index, icon
