At the end of this course, the students; 1) Know television cameras and equipment and learn their working principles. 2) Have the skills of shooting techniques and using a camera. 3) Gain skills and knowledge of basic lighting.

COURSE DEFINITION
Cinema, television and photography are tools that use images as basic materials. Therefore, the main aim is to convey to students the basic concepts of the image and the basic elements that make up the image. In this course, it is aimed for students to recognize and use the camera and its equipment, which are the tools that create the image, to learn the elements that form the image correctly and in accordance with basic shooting techniques, and to gain competencies in video shooting.

2nd Week
Camera types. Camera stands and other equipment.
3rd Week
Camera lenses: Lens structure, depth of field, lens types and optical effects of different lenses. Basic adjustment units on the lens.
4th Week
Shot scales, camera angle and camera height.
5th Week
Movement and basic camera movements in cinema and television. Basic rules in framing.
6th Week
Visual editing. Visual continuity.
7th Week
The function and purposes of lighting in creating the image.
8th Week
Midterm
9th Week
Lighting equipment.
10th Week
Lighting methods. They measure light.
11th Week
Color temperature. Filters and filter types.
12th Week
Camera body and adjustment units on the body.
13th Week
Camera and lighting application studies.
14th Week
