At the end of this course, the students; 1) Makes the diagnosis and treatment with professional behaviors in real patients of frequent internal diseases. 2) Directs rare internal diseases to diagnosis in real patient and knows referral criteria. 3) In the presence of frequent internal diseases, the student performs medical interventions professionaly on the real patient. 4) In the presence of rare internal diseases, the student directs professionaly to perform medical interventions on the real patient.

The duration of this rotation program is planned as one month in outpatient and one month in inpatient clinics. Physiciancandidate VI. medicalstudents in theclassroom; underthesupervision of a seniorassistantandconsultant, in jointserviceswherepatientsbelongingtoalldisciplines (Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, EndocrinologyandMetabolicDiseases, Hematology, MedicalOncology, Nephrology, Geriatrics, General InternalMedicineandImmunologyandAllergy) aremonitored in an integratedmanner, workswiththeresponsibility of thepatientandkeeps a watch, sothatreceivestheoreticalandpracticalinformationaboutinternaldiseaseswith a holisticapproachtopatients.Students can alsoparticipate in thescientificacademicprocessbyactivelyparticipating in seminars, articlehoursandcasediscussionsthatareapplied in thedepartments of polyiclinicsandservices. At the end of this training; students must be be able to recognize the clinical features of patients who have internal diseases. The students are expected to be able to demonstrate how to manage/treat patients and to learn the objectives of referring them to a specialist physician.
COURSE DEFINITION
Within the scope of Internal Medicine rotation, in addition to the development of history taking, record keeping and physical examination skills from different patient groups; in line with the data obtained from the history and examination, it is aimed to create the necessary experience and knowledge to determine the laboratory and imaging methods required for diagnosis and the appropriate clinical approach.
