COURSE DEFINITIONThis course covers information about requirements for gene expression in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, methods and techniques used to manipulate DNA, gene transfer methodologies, strategies for identifying and analyzing transgene, generation process of transgenic animals, the importance of transgenics in medicine and biotechnology, gene therapy applications, and current approaches to gene therapy.
