At the end of this course, the students; 1) learn gene delivery systems and methods. 2) undertand and discuss the gene therapy approaches and starategies. 3) learn the generation of transgenics and transgene analysis. 4) learn and discuss the application areas of transgenics.

COURSE DEFINITION | This course covers information about requirements for gene expression in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, methods and techniques used to manipulate DNA, gene transfer methodologies, strategies for identifying and analyzing transgene, generation process of transgenic animals, the importance of transgenics in medicine and biotechnology, gene therapy applications, and current approaches to gene therapy. |
