LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) To understand the reasons of the ncreasing movements of money, capital and goods. 2) To know why international investments shift to diffent countries. 3) To understand how foreign direct investments make country selection. 4) To evaluate the forms of different direct investment. 5) To understand the currency risk of foreign direct investments and know how to take precautions for this problem. 6) To know the sources of political risk and effects of it on international investments.

COURSE DEFINITION | This course deals with cross-border flows of capital, basic motives and reasons for international investments, and operational dynamics of international money and capital markets. Additionally, further emphasis will be given to the analysis and evaluations of foreign direct investments in terms of risk and return dimensions, and also the factors affecting county selection for international investments will be discussed. |
