At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn Turkish foreign exchange legislation. 2) Have knowledge about import and export legislations. 3) Know the elements of maritime law. 4) Do paperwork which will be useful in foreign trade, know the preparataion stages and the contents of these documents. 5) Command the subjects like types of delivery and acquittance and at foreign trade. 6) Have knowledge about arbitration, accreditation and supervision reports. 7) Be on notice about the subjects and regulations of conflict resolution. 8) Have extensive information about export and import associations.

COURSE DEFINITION
The course will primarily deal with the legal problems of international business basically from the view point of the Legislation on Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade. Emphasis will be put on the rapidly developing sectors of Turkish international business, such as international sales contracts, agency relations, transportation of goods, and means of payment, unfair competition, and tortuous liability for products. Additionally, international procedural matters such as conflict solving, including the applicable law, international jurisdiction of courts, international arbitration, and the enforcement of foreign judgments will be discussed. In addition, general introduction to Turkish Maritime Law, ship ownership and mortgage, damaged caused by ships, marine transport, and selected topics will be included.
