LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Obtain information about the documents used in international trade, international transportation and international circulation.
2) Obtain information about international letter of credit form.
3) Get information about export regime decisions.
4) Obtain information about pricing techniques and customs clearance as well as information about the solution of international disputes.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe course is focused on that foundations and fundamental principles of international trade, basic concepts and policies in exportation, export transactions and practices, customs transactions and applications.
COURSE CONTENTS

1st Week World trade (based on countries) Turkey's international trade (based on products)
2nd Week Turkey's key player institutes at import, import prohibited goods, quota, inspection, protection, registered and goods subject to standards
3rd Week Product search, GTIP search, customs broker acknowledgment, inspecting product standards and decision making, temporary import regulations
4th Week Important points at International price search and cost calculation
5th Week Request for shipping advise
6th Week Customs formalities, customs clearance, anti-damping and subvention regulations and goods subject to anti damping
7th Week CE sign, responsibilities, goods subject to CE, goods subject to CE in Turkey and accredited institutes of Turkey for EU regulations. Practices for labeling CE sign on products
8th Week Midterm exam
9th Week International Movement Certificate, International Transportation, Logistics and Nominating forwarders, international carrying correspondences, international carrying agreements
10th Week What are international movement certificates and which countries subject to prepare movement certificate, PAN-European system of cumulation of origin
11th Week Payment terms and letter of credit types, how to establish letter of credit, banking correspondences and instructions
12th Week Transportation insurance and important points in insurance
13th Week Delivery terms, International Inspection Institutes and correspondences
14th Week Specialized customs and examination; import formalities; Import and Bank foreign exchange/cambio regulations
